With Rand Paul and Ted Cruz Out of the Race for President, Libertarian Austin Petersen is the Last Man Standing that the Liberty Movement Can Trust
By Lee Enochs
One by one they are all gone. First it was Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky, then, yesterday, it was Ted Cruz. There are now no longer any Republican candidates to vote for because Donald Trump is the presumptive nominee.
Donald J. Trump, the real estate tycoon turned reality television celebrity most certainly hijacked the Republican Party nominating process and bent it to do his will.
This is unfortunate because Trump has been anything but a faithful member of the GOP. It was must be pointed out that the Donald was not even registered as a Republican until the very late date of April 2012.
Trump has given hundreds of thousands of dollars to Democrats, including his likely general election opponent, Mrs. Clinton. And, at various points in his life, he has held positions that are radically contradictory to Republican orthodoxy on almost every major issue in the conservative canon, including abortion, taxes, trade, and gun control.
While Ted Cruz was not a consistent member of the Liberty movement, he was better than most in Washington.
With Cruz bowing out of the race yesterday, the only consistent Liberty candidate left is Austin Petersen, the founder of the Libertarian Republican and currently Gary Johnson’s main rival for the Libertarian Party nomination.
Austin Petersen is now the only Liberty candidate left. He is consistently Libertarian on all issues. Petersen very much believes in free-market capitalism, limited government and maximum freedom.
I would like to encourage those who love Liberty to check out Austin Petersen’s campaign website and get to know the only Liberty candidate left.
