To Salvage His Political Career Down in Texas, Ted Cruz Had to Swallow His Wounded Pride

Ted Cruz humbled himself and finally endorsed surging Republican nominee Donald Trump for the presidency Friday afternoon, a stunning turn of events after a greatly contentious primary ripe with bitter and petty personal attacks and after Cruz’s unwise snub of the Donald at the Republican National Convention this past summer.
“After many months of careful consideration, of prayer and searching my own conscience, I have decided that on Election Day, I will vote for the Republican nominee, Donald Trump,” Cruz wrote in a Facebook post.
Cruz had to endorse the Donald to keep his own naked Presidential ambitions alive since my sources tell me that his seat in the senate was at risk since his controversial lack of endorsement of Trump at the RNC in Cleveland.
Currently there are powerful forces at work in the Republican Party down in Texas to replace Ted Cruz with Rick Perry or wealthy GOP congressman Michael McCaul of the 10th congressional district.
The Princeton University and Harvard Law School educated Cruz has long aspired to be President and saw the handwriting on the wall and endorsed Trump. He had no other choice.
